About this place
Set on the second floor of a commercial building in Ebisu-nishi, Meibutsuya runs continuously from 12:00 in the afternoon until 24:00 the following morning. That extensive schedule makes it an adaptable spot whether you need a quick daytime bite or an evening drinking session. Alongside draft beer, shochu, and sake, the kitchen turns out an assortment running from casual drinking snacks to hearty meat plates.
A standard starting point is the house-specialty chicken wings, ordered in batches of 5 or 10, accompanied by piping-hot dim sum items. Dumpling selections include classic xialongbao, shrimp and avocado gyoza, spicy gyoza, and extra-large pork tonjiru gyoza, with a three-variety tasting plate designed for sharing. Meat lovers can also explore crispy homemade menchi-katsu, addictive menchi croquettes, charcoal-grilled local chicken thigh, and salt-scallion beef tongue.
When seafood sounds appealing, daily recommendations offer items such as sardine sashimi or tataki, fresh Miyagi oysters, and salt-grilled yellowtail collar. Larger gatherings can opt for course menus with all-you-can-drink options, which weave together sashimi, fried bites, and wings into a cohesive feast. With private rooms available and reservations accepted, the space accommodates both relaxed catch-ups with friends and full group parties.
